Agios Matthaios or better known as "Ai Mathias" - as it is called by the locals - is located 25 km southwest of Corfu Town and has about 1,500 inhabitants. Our village will enchant you with its alleys and its special architecture, which was influenced by the Venetians. The house is located right next to the village church of the same name. From our place, as from many other places on the island, you can let your eyes wander to the horizon and enjoy the Ionian Sea. The nearby beaches are sandy and crystal clear. The first beaches you can visit are only 2.6 km away (Paramonas, Skala). The closest beaches you can discover nearby are 5.3 km away (Prasoudi, Kanouli) and of course you should not miss visiting Halikouna beach, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches of Corfu, which is 7.2 km away from the accommodation.
