Our home is located at the seaside town of Kalyves in Apokoronas region of Chania. Within 300meters of walking distance you can find a wide range of shops and services, ATM, pharmacy and of course the lovely organized Kalyves beach. Taxi service is available and a bus stop with frequent daily routes to Chania and the nearby villages. Apokoronas is a region which extends to the northeastern part of the prefecture of Chania, by the foothills of the White Mountains to the north coast of Crete. It is characterized by the green hills and fertile tracts of land, due to the abundance of water coming from the mountains, creating the only natural lake of Crete, as well as rivers which run through the region, before finding their way out to the sea. There is a great variety of natural, historic and cultural sights to explore!
