Although my profession often keeps me away due to obligations in other parts of Greece, my heart remains deeply connected to my homeland. Only 500 meters from the apartment, you’ll find the Karavomilos Lake, a tranquil spot with ducks, greenery, and a children’s playground, perfect for families. Right next to the lake, there’s a small marina where you can rent boats and explore the beautiful coastline by sea. Also nearby is a modern sports complex, offering football, basketball, and tennis courts. Karavomilos village itself has several taverns, cafés, and restaurants where you can enjoy traditional Greek cuisine in a relaxed setting. For more variety, Sami — just 1.5 km away — provides everything from supermarkets and bakeries to pharmacy, bars, seaside dining, and the ferry port with connections to Ithaca and Patra. A seafront walking path connects Karavomilos with Sami, offering an ideal route for morning or sunset strolls. Along this coastal path stretches a series of quiet, beautiful beaches — perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing with views of the Ionian Sea.
