The location is ideal as it is close to all amazing beach sites: The famous Falassarna sandy beach is just 19 kms away! The small island of Gramvousa nearby with its Venetian castle will amaze you! Things not to miss while staying at Freya's Royal Estate: 1. Giortes Rokkas is the celebration that brings together society and culture, in the villages of Rokka and Kera, located in the greater region of Chania. It’s a celebration of the arts organized by the locals themselves, that attracts visitors from all around the world. Giortes Rokkas first took place in the summer of 2013 and have been taking place every year since at the same meeting point, the archaeological site of Rokka Kissamos, on the night of the full moon of August. 2. Eroded Hills of Komolithi The bizarre-looking small hills shown above are found in the Komolithi area near Kissamos. They're completely barren except for tufts of vegetation on their tops. Composed almost entirely of clay, years of erosion by wind and water has sculpted their distinctive conical shapes.
