About the property Located in Glifoneri, Maeiz Skopelos offers a simple, bright, and sustainable choice of accommodation by the beach, 1100mtrs from Skopelos town. The name (Maeiz or Goat in Arabic) was inspired by the uniqueness of the property's position: surrounded by forest and the beach and nestled on the side of a hill. As well as a unique breed of goats that can drink seawater. You can find them everywhere from the beach to the island's mountains. Maeiz Skopelos features private gardens, and panoramic views of the sea and the Main Town from the verandahs. Each room has breathtaking views of the water, with covered areas and outdoor furniture to enjoy the sun. Rooms feature a bar fridge, air-conditioning, coffee/tea facilities, and an ensuite bathroom with toiletries. Rooms are painted in lime wash for their rich texture, and colored with natural pigments; a traditional way of painting around the Mediterranean, for thousands of years. Limewash with its high pH levels means, that it’s bacteria and mold-resistant, nontoxic, eco-friendly, and practically odorless for a good night's sleep. In your room, you can listen to the waves rolling at night, and watch the sunrise every morning from your balcony. Guests have access to a shared fully equipped outdoor barbecue/seating area. Where, after a day of swimming or exploring what the island has to offer, you can relax on one of the hammocks that lie around the garden, and read a book. Or cook your meal under the stars, and enjoy it by the water. Free on-site parking and Wi-fi are available at the property. The rooms are Non-Smoking, and there are no TVs on the property. The property is not suitable for kids under 10, due to safety reasons.

Our story: Welcome to our place. A family-run accommodation, in a yet to be discover part of Skopelos island which is located on the West side of the Aegean Sea. We’re a family of three, Kostas, Misley, and our son Sidney. Together with my wife we have combined experience of over thirty years in the service and hospitality industry around the world, and Influenced by our, Greek, Cuban, and Australian backgrounds. We have created a place for travelers. A place where people like to meet others alike, experience unique moments, share stories, learn, and taste new things in life. We love and enjoy our job, meeting other people, and making new friends (over a glass of wine). We’re lucky enough to live our dream in Greece, and you’re welcome to have a taste of it Yamas! The neighborhood. Our place is positioned at the edge of the beach. From the property, you have direct access to the water, a mixture of pebbles and sand; there is a rocky side as well where you can get more adventurous. Swim to one of the caves that surround the area, or drop a fishing line from the jetty to catch your dinner. Two Tavernas with traditional fresh home Greek cooking are just in 300mtrs radio. Fresh sardines, Greek salad, and a glass of tsipouro (a Greek alcoholic drink similar to ouzo) are our preferred lunch on a hot summer’s day. In the evening you can walk the 1200 mtrs (20-40mins uphill) distance, to the Main Town of Skopelos. Where you can walk through the narrow alleys of the old town awarded an Outstanding Architectural Inheritance status. You can do your shopping, enjoy a dinner at the old castle, and listen to Greek live music that is played in almost every taverna throughout the season. Have a cold iced coffee (Frape) at the old port, a beer at Thalassa and enjoy the views from their beautiful terrace full of flowers, or ship a cocktail at Skalla hanging over the port.
