I was born and raised in Vessa village in Chios. I am married with two children, Chistophoros and Alexandra. Together we decided to renovate my parental home which I inherited from my parents, Kostis and Marika Sideraki. This house is not only a source of income for me…it’s the house where I, my children and grandchildren grew up and spent our summers and weekends…it’s the house where my mother used to delightfully accommodate the family from Athens every summer. So we will be happy to welcome and guide you around, in order to enjoy the experience of living in the medieval village of Vessa in Chios, and watching the cultivation of mastic in person. A village which is located in the central part of Chios and you have easy access to many sights like the unique beach of Mavra Volia, the popular beach of Komi, Pyrgi village with its special carved houses, Anavatos, a “castle” village, as well as many more amazing beaches of the island. We are looking forward to meeting you.

I’ve been actively involved with agriculture for 20 years now and I also have a family business with my son, a café-ouzeri called PARADOSIAKO in St George Sykoussis village. Having joy and passion for the job I prepare homemade spoon sweets and ‘mezedes’ every day, for our customers to enjoy along with their coffee or ouzo.  At the same time I cultivate mastic and I would love to show to my guests the production process of this unique product. We will be glad to help you explore our island.

Vessa, a lovely stoned village that belongs to the municipality of mastic villages with peaceful neighborhoods, picturesque alleys and beautiful flowers, has two café-restaurants at the village’s central square where you can enjoy your coffee and your “ouzaki” in the shade of the old plane trees. It’s only 5 kilometers away from Armolia in which there is a super market, a pharmacy and a pastry shop where you can  provide yourselves with everything you need. It’s located in the center of South Chios, a convenient location where you have access to all the popular beaches of the island such as Mavra Volia, Komi, Trachili and Avlonia.
