Our family, have dealt with marble as a material. This building was constructed with the original purpose of showing our work in detail. Our factory is in close proximity and it is our pleasure to offer our guests a guided tour to see the circle of this unique material in all the stages. The personal interest of our family for this land of origin in combination with our passionate occupation with marble over four generations have led to the creation of a bioclimatic lodging, at the foothills of Mount Pentelikon, made mostly of marble. In fact, it is not accidental that this is the spot where the grey-white marble of Marathon was being extracted since ancient times. Marathon Eco Stay has been constructed personally by its owners with marbles used since antiquity, like Pentelic marble (featured in the Parthenon) and those of Epidaurus and Mycenae, attributing a new form of life to this historic material through mosaics, floors, staircases and sculpture, always with respect towards the surrounding natural environment. Marathon Eco Stay stands out for its ecological character, as it operates with alternative cooling and heating systems, while also involving “natural” materials in its construction.
