The name Marfaia is derived from the Location and the Mythology, MARE (Latin word of Sea), and Afaia (Ancient Greek Deity) (The house has one bathroom on the first floor and one WC on the ground floor. There's an exterior shower, too.

From the island is easy to enjoy day trips to other small islands, Agistri, Moni, Poros and other islands in the Saronic Bay.
