Through a journey that started in 2001, Oreo Travel was founded by Stratos Beretis, an experienced member of the Greek Tourism Industry, a Graduate of the Department of Economics of the University of Crete and a Master Degree Holder in Tourism Business Management.
Having passed through several management positions, he was won over by the occupation with tailor made tourism services and especially in inbound tourism in villas, independent properties, country houses and small holiday rental units.
Oreo Travel started as a representative of global tour operators and continues to this day with an ever-growing network of partners and properties in Crete, Peloponnese and Athens, in line with the new promotional and managing methods.
Our goal at Oreo Travel is to promote the properties we partner with in the best way possible, by solely operating as a booking agent on behalf of our partner-property owners, whom we advise and guide in providing high standards of hospitality for their guests, in accordance with the regulations and the laws that govern the accommodation industry.
Furthermore, we are constantly available for our guests to answer questions, solve potential problems that may arise while booking or staying in and to recommend services that may be needed to facilitate their stay and maximize their travel experience (car rental, transportation, tours, excursions and concierge services). Our customer support operates daily from 7 am to 11 pm and we provide a 24/7 emergency support to our valuable customers.
We welcome you and wish you a pleasant stay!

On the south coast of Crete, on a magnificent white sandy beach, stands one of the most beautiful Venetian fortresses of the island, Frangokastello. It is located approximately 170 km from Heraklion, 70 km from Rethymnon, 80 km from Chania, 12 km from Chora Sfakion en route to Plakias. Frangokastello was named after the castle that the Venetians built right on the beach in 1371, in order to protect themselves from pirates and from the constant revolts of the locals. The Venetians called it Castle Franco. Today, Frangokastello is small but is developing steadily. Its beaches are covered in sand dunes and there are local traditional taverns alongside the coast of Frangokastello. The following neighboring villages of Kapsodasos, Kalikratis, and Patsianos, belong to the municipality of Sfakia.
