Two attractive and spacious two double bedroom apartments with large balconies with a view, ideal for alfresco living. Each apartment sleeps comfortably up to 6 guests. All the apartments benefit from a fully equipped kitchen with all the cooking utensils, a sizeable open plan lounge and dinner, two bedrooms with comfortable antique style beds, side tables and a large wardrobe. The apartments are fully air conditioned, they offer free flat screen TV and free WiFi. We also offer free private parking. We also have an enclosed garden with tables and chairs which is ideal for picnics and barbecues or for the children to play. A full size barbecue is available in the garden for our guest to use free of charge. Also, we offer a free communal washing machine for our guests to use, a baby cot and a baby high chair. The apartments are located in the quiet edge of the village but only 150 meters from the sandy blue flag beach and the seaside restaurants and cafes. Conveniently, they are just three minutes walk from the local bakery and the supermarket. Our guests simply love picking up freshly baked bread in the morning or the typical Greek delicacies, feta cheese wrapped in filo pastry (tyropita), cream filo pastry (bougatsa) or sweet sesame rings (koulouria) and enjoy a relaxing breakfast on the balcony. Nea Roda Apartments are ideal for families and couples who are looking for a relaxed holiday close to a sandy beach and close to nature. At the same time the restaurants and cafes are only 150 meters away. Nea Roda Apartments are also ideal as an overnight stay for groups of pilgrims who plan to visit the monasteries of Mount Athos. Each apartment can accommodate 4-6 guests who can stay the night and then pick up the boat to Mount Athos either from Ierissos or Ouranoupolis. The departure point in Ierissos is only 5 minutes drive and the one in Ouranoupolis is only 15 minutes drive.
Our housekeeper Mrs Georgia lives in the house directly opposite the flats. She will let you into the flats and answer your questions.
The apartments are located at the edge of Nea Roda in a quiet neighbourhood, just 150 metres a way from the sandy beach and 3 minutes walk to the local bakery that bakes fresh traditional bread and filo pastry feta pie (Tyropita). Our guests love to have a relaxing breakfast freshly bought from the bakery on the spacious balcony of the flats. The sandy beach is at the end of the road, just 150 metres from the flats. It is completely free. All you need is a good umbrella to shade you from the midday sun. Additionally, all the seaside restaurants provide complementary umbrellas and recliners. They are entirely free, on the condition you purchase a drink from them. They can serve you a full lunch by the water's edge. People are happy to spend the whole day on the beach. Nea Roda is conveniently located between the two gateways to Mount Athos, Ierissos and Ouranoupolis, Guests can stay the night at Nea Roda Apartments, enjoy the local restaurants and bars and in the morning they can take the ferry from either Ouranoupolis or Ierissos for their pilgrimage to Mount Athos. The departure point in Ierissos is only 5 minutes drive and the one in Ouranoupolis is only 15 minutes drive. While you in Nea Roda you must not forget to visit the village church where you can see the most reverent icon of Virgin Mary, the protector of the village. It dates from the 14th century and over the years it has performed many miracles.
