The property P & G Apartment is located at the heart of the picturesque traditional village Pamfila of Lesvos Island, just 7 km far from the superb city of Mytilene, at the northeastern part of the island and along the highway Mytilene-Thermi.
P & G Apartment is situated at the upper part of a private, two-storeyed house, at the heart of Pamfila village, a few meters from the central square. It is a traditionally decorated house and it is really bright, airy and lets the sun go inside. Its small balcony, at the central bedroom, has view to the village internal roads and it is ideal for reading in the afternoon whereas its central big balcony has a superb view to the village of Pamfila and Afalonas. It is really fantastic for the evening coffee and the night rest. A hot spot of this house is the terasse above the central balcony where you can go using the external stairs. From there, you can really watch the city and the castle of Mytilene, the sea as well as the seashore of Asia Minor.
Pamfila is a great village, close to the sea, where 1247 permanent residents live. At the entrance of the village, the central paved road starts, crosses the whole village and ends upt to the traditional square where the Taxiarch Church is. There, one can find traditional coffee and pastry shops, bakeries, taverns and a rich market – meeting point for the whole village. From that square, one can start going down to the so called “skala Pamfilon”, among characteristic lesbian houses. There you can find the picturesque small port and the church of St. Nicolas, a quiet place for swimming and fishing.
Driving from Pamfila to Thermi, you can meet the beach Niselia, sandy with great crystal waters and the beach Kanoni, fully organized with cafés, bars and restaurants for having fun all day long. At the same coastal line, after Thermi, one can find the beach St. George, where there is a characteristic tavern for fresh sardine, the beach Petalildi, being appropriate for families, with wonderful waters and nice food, as well as Skala Mistegnon for swimming and cosy taverns next to the sea.
Next to the house, at the end of the small road leading to the market, you can find the the stairs of the great church St. Barbara being famous for the sculptor Jan Halepa’s superb pictures and temple and the worship of many guests throughout the year.
In 6 km distance from the village, you can reach the the miraculous St. Rafael Monastery, well-known worship for many tourists from all over the world. From Pamfila one can easily reach the place taking the local bus (line Mytilene - St. Rafael). If you continue driving this coastal road at the northeastern part of the island, starting from Pamfila, in 25 km distance, you will arrive at the traditional village Mantamados, where the miraculous Taxiarch Monastery is. There you can find the world unique Archangel Michael’s picture.
Driving from the city of Mytilene and 1 km before arriving at Pamfila, one can meet the seaside village Panagiouda, full of cafés and taverns, actually indicative for very qualitative traditional good food. In 2 km after exiting Pamfila on the way to St. Rafael, one can meet another nice village, called Pyrgoi Thermis, being full of nice traditional taverns in front of the sea, too.
