The house is situated in a beautiful traditional villge called "Tzitzifes". It is a country retreat. An escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's on the foothills of the White Mountains. Its altitude is 255 metres and has an amazing panoramic view of the village and surrounding fields around and across it! It's a quiet, cozy, sunny house surrounded by the sounds of nature. There are a lot of olive trees and cupressus trees nearby too. The house can accommodate up to 6 guests for people to travel and explore Chania and Rethymno. The house is suitable for home cooking or eating out. There is a fully fitted kitchen, oven and refrigerator. It has the daily basic kitchen needs like cooking utensils, pots, pans and cutlery. Water is solar-heated. Panorama Country Residence is available all year round. I t has central heating in winter and air condition in summer.

Your hosts are Soula and my husband Taso. Soula was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand thus is a fluent English speaker. We both like to show off our town to visitors. We are keen on giving tips on what to do and eat like a local.

Tzitzifes has 2 taverns "Rizitiko" and "Tzitzifia". It has 3 cheese making (dairy factories) where you can buy local dairy products. For those interested in walks, you can go hiking around the village and enjoy the beauty of nature. A car is necessary for transportation as the village is 32 kms away from the main town(CHANIA). VRISES is only 10 minutes by car where a visitor can find their daily needs like a supermarket. A petrol station, post office, taxi service and bus station connecting to most destinations is easily available here. Dentist and doctor's surgeries too. Local Taverns and cafes are open everyday too. Swimming is popular with many beaches to choose from. The closest beaches are Kalives, Kiani Akti, Almirida, Georgiopolis and Rethymno. Well known beaches in the outskirts of Chania are Elafonissi, Falarsena, Fragokastello, Sfakia and many others..... Visiting Lake Korna and the natural springs of Argiroupolis are a must do! Chania offers everything from shopping, nightlife and walking in the narrow cobblestoned streets in the Old Port.
