At the northern end of the beach there are the ruins of the ancient Grecoroman city of Falassarna. Distance: approximately 10km •Balos lagoon is famous for its turquoise waters, the wild natural beauty and the beautiful exotic scenery. Balos is surely the mostly photographed beach in Crete. Distance: approximately 10km •Elafonissi is a Natura 2000 protected area. The island is full of sand dunes with sea daffodils and jupiners. Exotic beaches with white sand and turquoise water, are formed on either sides of the peninsula. Distance: approximately 50km •Chania Venetian Harbour in Chania. This city hub is filled with cafes, restaurants, taverns serving local delicacies, bars, pastry stores and art shops as well as monuments referring to various historical periods. You will find there is a balanced mixing of Cretan, Ottoman and Venetian elements, beautiful narrow alleys across the old town and amazing architecture.
