Aprovato is located just 2,5 km from Batsi. The village is built on a hill, extending from (almost) sea - level to Kouvara, one of the highest points of the island and therefore comprises of Ano (upper) and Kato ( lower) Aprovato. It is located on the west side of the island and benefits of excellent climate and low humidity. Lush flora, water springs, old country cottages, mills and pigeon towers, numerous hiking paths define the area of Aprovato. Andros Routes trail Nr 9 runs through Aprovato towards Batsi, Pitrofos, Strapouries, Lamyra reaching finally Chora, (Andros town) Kato Aprovato is 30'min drive to Chora (town) of Andros, 10min to Batsi and to the sandy beaches of east Andros, 20min to the port (Gavrio).
