This ground floor residence is part of a traditional stone built house, characteristic type of local architecture, built at the end of 19th century and renovated during 2004-06. Fully independent and self catered.

When I was young…. I started looking for an old traditional house near Athens. To be honest, this was my motivation to travel around for many years, discover new places, meet people and get in touch with ways of life. So when I reached 45 years of age, it was time to get this old traditional house and turn it to two calm, hospitable, and warm seasonal residencies. Since cooking is one of my hobbies, my dear friends and I enjoy meals, exchanging life and travel experiences. It‘s my great pleasure to spend long weekends and 2-3 weeks per year in my home at Tyros. I consider it as an essential break from my work. My hobbies: photo, cinema, hikking, cooking, wine making, sharing stories.

The residence is sited in the old traditional settlement of Ano Tyros, East Peloponnisus. Ano Tyros is built amphitheatrically on the east slopes of mount Parnon, consists of two-flat houses, with single architectural style and combines both mountain and sea scenery. The exceptional position of the settlement, as well as the wider region, attracts a lot of Europeans, who own many old stone houses, turning them to seasonal residences, also preserving faithfully the traditional features. A lot of quiet, low crowded, clean and calm beaches with small pebbles and emerald seawater, at a distance of 7’ to 15’ by car, offer a great variety of chances for swimming and water games. Fishing and sailing integrate the wide range of maritime activities during summer, that extends from May to October. Mount Parnon, also called “botanical gardens”, includes especially aromatic and pharmaceutical herbs. Mount Parnon and the water biotope of Moustos are protected by the European framework "Natura 2000". Also it is a funcional begging for day trips, in order to visit a lot of wellknown ancient sites and medieval monuments.
