Agios Georgios South (issos) with its long sandy beach lies to the south of the coastal Lake Korission, on the South West of the island. Surrounded by olive groves, and boasting an amazing sandy beach. St George is a resort, suitable for couples and families, an ideal place for that laid-back relaxing holiday. There is some night life. There is an endless supply of day trips, boat trips and excursions available from the travel agents around the resort. There are plenty of beach side tavernas for you to enjoy. Serving everything from sandwiches to four course meals. St Georgios beach is an ideal resort for those who enjoy walking. To the north of the resort are sand dunes and the saltwater lagoon, lake Korrision, a must for lovers of wildlife. (Occasionally, you may see a snake so be careful.) The sandy beach of Agios Georgios is ideal for swimming and water sports
