Villa Fabrica is located in a scenic and peaceful village, away from the city noise but just 19 km (25 minute drive) from Chania town and 30 km from Chania airport. Just 3 km away from the Villa you can find the village of Drakona, which boasts two fabulous traditional tavernas. The Dounias Taverna is well-renowned for its traditional Cretan food and has been featured on the famous British Chef, James Martins’ Mediterranean Good Food Programme. Both tavernas in Drakona attract ‘foodies’ looking for true Cretan cuisine in friendly, welcoming and spectacular locations with breath-taking mountain views. The Tzaneris & Archodissa Taverna can be found along the same road in the village of Drakona and again boasts fantastic Cretan cuisine which we also highly-recommend you visit. The village of Mournies which is 17 km away has plenty of supermarkets which are well-stocked, clean and have fresh meat and fish counters. In addition, Mournies has a selection of bakeries, pharmacies, cafes, restaurants, petrol/gas stations and a hospital.
