Your hosts are Nina (owner) and Antonis (house manager) - both have deep ties to, and knowledge about, this area of Greece.
Born in Germany, Nina has been coming to the Koroni area since her early childhood, Her father built the house together with local villagers in the early 80s after falling in love with the land and its people. In recent years, Nina made it her mission to restore the old house to its former glory whilst adding modern conveniences and introducing contemporary design.
Villa Koukoura features original art from Nina's home country Germany - as well as Thailand and Laos, two other countries Nina visited on her travels.
Antonis is a long-standing family friend and qualified property manager, who will welcome you with professionalism and an open heart - and ensure all your needs are met during your stay at Villa Koukoura.
We look forward to hosting you!

The nearby fishing town of Koroni (15min drive) offers plenty of fantastic dining and shopping options right on the water, as well as a stunning old Venetian castle which is now being used as a monastery. It’s free to hike and walk around in there. There are two well-stocked supermarkets in or on the way to the town.
Even closer is the mountain village of Vasilitsi, which features the best authentic Greek food in the area – Taverna ‘O Nikos’ – or ‘Nikos Tavern’. There is a family-run shop that sells basic foodstuffs and fresh fruit & vegetables.
There are numerous archaeological sites worth visiting in this area of the Peloponnese, as well as many picturesque towns and beaches, e.g. Methoni Castle, Pylos, Nestor Castle, Voidokilia Beach, Mistras, Ithomi, Sparta.
How to get there:
Plane to Kalamata (KLX) or Athens airport. A rental car is necessary. From KLX it’s about an hour’s drive, from Athens ca 3,5 hrs. The roads are good.
