We have always loved Crete and have enjoyed many fantastic villa holidays here with our two children over the years. George is Greek and his family originates from Crete so we both feel a special bond to this island. We always dreamt of having a home here one day and fell in love with Villa Miramare as soon as we first stood in the shade of the pergola and gazed across the natural wooded gorge towards the sea. We bought the house in 2018 and have since entirely landscaped the grounds and designed the pool to fully enjoy our spectacular views. We have made this our winter home so the house is very comfortable and well equipped; the garden is always sunny with lush planting but has shady spots ideal for outdoor summer living.
