Villa Myria is a unique property both with respect to design and comfort as well as its location. The modern stand-alone villa, with 4 bedrooms and 2 sofabeds, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, 2 (hot) outdoor showers and a 4 x 13 m pool, is surrounded by 4,000 m2 of olive grove and orange trees. Towards the West unobstructed views on the sea and Kalamata City from three levels of living and bed rooms, terraces and from the pool. The back yard, with unlimited parking, consists of the Taygetos Mountains, no more roads in between you and the 2400 m high mountain range. Due to the rise in energy prices we are currently charging 29 cts per kWh. This may change depending on the developments on the energy market.

In 2000 I discovered the untouched region of Messinia with its lively capital Kalamata famous for its olives. It took me until 2004 before I found and bought this olive grove. As a Dutch civil engineer I designed the house and supervised its construction. I lived in Kalamata until 2011 when I returned to The Netherlands. The villa is for rent since 2017.

There too many things to do for just a few weeks, apart from relaxing around the house: numerous day trips to places like Stoupa, Kardamili, Verga, Sparta, Gythio, Ancient Messinia, Petalidi, Agios Nikolao, Neo Koroni, Mithoni, Pilos, Voido Kylia, Nafplio, Mycene, Olympia, Monemvassia, Oracle of Dionysos. But in my experience you will be happy to hang around the Villa most of your time, going to Kalamata for groceries or an evening out, or having lunch at one of the many tavernas along the coast at your feet: from Kitries to Verga.
