Astrartigos, is a picturesque village 25 km. far away the town of Chania and 4 Km. far away the colymbari in the province of Kisamos. It is located in the north - western side of the island. It is in a position with panoramic view to the gulf of Hania.
Kolimbari is a truly unspoilt Cretan coastal village with a Greek Orthodox Academy and 17th century monastery. In the Town of Kolymbari you can find all the facilities of public and privates units and picturesque places for any kind of entertainment. There are public units such as banks, post office, town hall and many mini markets, restaurants and cafeterias by a sandy beach.
The airport of Hania is 40 Km away and the port of Souda in Chania is 50 Km away.
Sightseeings of the area
In order to reach Astratigos, beginning from Kolimbari, a visitor will meet the holy monastery of Gonias. It has rich historical and religious importance. The Orthodox Academy of Crete wich is famous all over the word, is located in the same area.
Climbing the mountain from Colymbari to Astratigos gives the opportunity to any visitor to enjoy the view to sea.
Next to Afrata is the small village of Astratigos.
