This home is in Platia Peramata, a small traditional village in south Crete. It is also 7km east of Kali Limenes and 7km east of Lendas. Heraklion national airport is about 70 minutes away, by car. There are several nearby beautiful and tranquil bays with great beaches frequented by locals. The closest beach to the house is the small beach of Platia Peramata. There are no beach services, but there are a few tavernas along the beach. East of the village is the less popular beach of East Platia Peramata. Heraklion is the fourth largest city in Greece. It is considered the administrative, commercial, industrial, and agricultural center of the island. Despite being a busy city with heavy traffic, it's worth a visit for its archaeological sites. Also, it benefits from a few well-preserved areas, including its old port and the Venetian Fortress. Our advice is to rent a car for more safe, cheap and easy vacations.
