Welcome to our magical wabisabi home at Serifos! It is a true gem one level house at the boundaries of Chora Serifos with unobstructed breathtaking views to the aegean sea and the islands across. The house is recently renovated and minimally furnished to serve all basic needs of our guests hosted here while travelling.
Hi, I'm Natalia and happy to host you at WabiSabi home at Serifos! “Wabi sabi" the aesthetic of things in existence, that are imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It reminds us that all things including us and life itself, are impermanent, incomplete, and imperfect.
Serifos is one of the smallest of the Cycladic islands, southeast of Athens in the Aegean Sea, and also still luckily one of the least known. Although only 2 .5 hours on the hydrofoil boat or 4.5 hours with car ferry Serifos still has the spirit and atmosphere of a much more remote locale. The diamond of Serifos is its capital, Chora, which is considered to be a model of a medieval castled settlement, built amphitheatrically on the rocky height of the bay of Livadi in order to protect it from the pirate invasions. The main destinations in Chora are the upper and lower squares which are well-known for its cafés, restaurants and bars, the Town Hall in the upper square (of neoclassical architectural style), the Venetian Castle on the top of the cliff, the windmills at the entry of the Chora as well exploring the ancient "monopatia" stone paved paths towards Livadi and around the island. The house is located at Chora of Serifos therefore there is no direct car access. You may park your car in the public parking area at the plaza or during high season it is highly recommended the use of public transportation since the parking at Chora might be tricky.
