Neighbourhood information

The picturesque village Slatine is a small fishermen village and tourist village situated on the northeastern side of the island Čiovo in Split-Dalmatia county, only 8 km from Trogir. Slatine lies opposite of Split, with the breathtaking view of Marjan forest hill which almost seems to be at hand’s reach and can easily be accessed by a ferry boat line which goes from Trogir to Split, making a stop in Slatine on the way. Slatine really has that untouched nature feel with countless coves, rich vegetation, beaches, pine forests and cliffs spreading around the entire village. One of the most popular landmarks to visit in Slatine and on the island Čiovo is Church of Our Lady of Prizidnice, church and sanctuary built on the secluded cliffs in the 6th century. This unique attraction attracts not only those interested in sacral architecture, but also provides a great stop for those who enjoy more active holiday uch as hikers and mountain bikers – breathtaking views of the sea and the island will make every trip worthwhile. Slatine also has numerous restaurants and beach bars giving it popularity with locals and tourists for its nightlife.
