Downtown Porec includes the Old town of Poreč and the area extending to 600 m from the start of the famous ancient Roman street called Decumanus. The area "Center" includes: the Old town, the new part of the town near the new post office, and the area of Massa Lombarda. The Old town cannot be reached by car, while other areas are reacheable by vehicles or by food. The city is therefore surrounded by several parking lots to be used for a fee. There are several beaches north or south of the Old town, 1-10 minutes reacheable by food depending of the location of the apartment, one beach in the Old town and one beach on the Island of Sv.Nikola. In the area called "Center" there is a large supermarket called Billa and several small shops, cafes, restaurants, clothes' shops, a town's bazar, a bus station, a marina, a museum, galleries, a public library, historical sites, two post offices and two churches, one of which is on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.
