Funtana is a small fishing, agricultural and tourist town located on the west coast of Istria, only 7 km from Poreč. This interesting place owes its name to the clear springs of water and at one time it even bore the name Fontane di Pace - Fountains of Peace. The renaissance fortress - the castle is an attraction and was built in 1610 by the Counts Boris of Funtana. The view of the place is dominated by the 34-meter-high bell tower. While you're in Funtana, you shouldn't miss the attractive Dino Park, which presents dinosaurs to visitors whose life-size replicas still walk around the park.
