Neighbourhood information

The beach town of Lovran offers its guests rest and relaxation, an advantage that all holidaymakers who want to escape the daily stress will appreciate. With only a few hundred inhabitants, Lovran is particularly proud of its fishing and shipbuilding tradition, which is now part of the tourist offer of the place. Ika is also the university center of the Riviera Opatija, because it is home to the internationally recognized Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, where hundreds of students from all over Croatia and abroad complete their training in the tourism industry. A very special experience is the Fisherman's Festival, where visitors can experience first-hand what life on the coast means. On this day, you can help local fishermen to repair the net or put pots, or watch ships set to sea. Later, the freshly caught fish, prepared by local chefs, provides real culinary delights.
