About 30 kilometers of Split, the former small island of Tragurion is located. Today, it is a picturesque town whose old town center was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997 as one of the best-preserved romantic-gothic towns in Central Europe. The city is dominated by the cathedral of St. Lovre, whose construction lasted even 200 years. A beautiful view of the city and the island of Čiovo, which is connected to Trogir by bridge, is where the Kamerlengo fortress is located.
