Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic and the westernmost part of Croatia with pristine coastline, picturesque green inlands and delicious local products and cuisine.
On the coastline, the towns of Rovinj, Porec and Pula made Istria one of the most popular Mediterranean holiday destinations.
If you are into adventures and like to explore, the inland hart of Istria, the green Central Istria invites you to discover its untouched nature, beautiful green and hilly landscapes with vineyards and olive groves, picturesque medieval towns and very friendly people.
With about 300 inhabitants, Kringa is the second largest village of Central Istria’s municipality of Tinjan. Nestled on the hills of the Lim Channel valley at the altitude of about 220 meters, Kringa offers fresh air and greenery of the abundant untouched nature.
The Lim Channel valley is the longest valley in Croatia which stretches over 40 km, including the 10 km long Lim Bay. The local name for the valley is “Draga”, hence the name of the Villa “Lipa Draga”, which translates into “Beautiful Valley”.
Exposed to the Učka Mountain, Kringa is always a bit breezy and sometimes even windy, which makes it well known for production of quality prosciutto. The surrounding forests are popular for picking wild asparagus, mushrooms and blackberries, depending on the season.
There are several marked and numerous unmarked cycling and walking trails around Kringa, many going through the beautiful surrounding forests.
The famous Adrenalin Park Kringa is just 2 km away from Villa Lipa Draga.
There is also a football / basketball court in very near proximity to the Villa.
Numerous local producers of prosciutto, goat and cow cheese, truffle products, wine and a prime class olive oil operate in Kringa and the nearby villages of Central Istria. These products are used in the local taverns and wineries, offering ample opportunities to enjoy the divine local cuisine and wine testing experiences.
