In the past, small village named Bosilen (medieval name Basilen, Baselen) was located between Podorljak and Marina. Later on, Marina and its wider territory (Bosiljina) has named after that village. The house was originally built 250 years ago at the foot of a hill by family Frleta. It was initially used for living but later it was converted into a barn where domestic animals lived. During the reconstruction, the original stone has been preserved and used to rebuild the house.
It takes just 15 minutes of pleasant climbing up a hill (at an altitude of 140 m) where you can visit St. Jakov Cave. When you enter the cave you will see chapel of St. Filip and Jakov which was visited by Franz Joseph I of Austria back in 1891. From the top of the hill you can see Marina Bay, Marina centre and Tower, as well as Dolac field with olive trees and other crop plants. Mass is held every year on 1st May in the front of the cave, followed by a celebration in the village.
