GUILDWOOD VILLA is an exquisite Bali Guest House for travellers who want more than a hotel. Guildwood guests enjoy a “homestay experience” in a world-class setting.
Decorated with fine Indonesian and European furnishings, Guildwood offers a picturesque swimming pool surrounded by lovely outdoor seating areas; a billiard room where guests connect with other travellers; and three finely-appointed guest rooms with luxurious beds, full ensuite bathrooms, complimentary WiFi access and cable television.
BUT THERE’S MORE . . .
The Guildwood staff stands ready to provide any assistance their guests need. They can organise onsite massages and spa treatments; provide advice on places to visit; assist with bicycle and motorbike rentals; arrange for vehicles with drivers; or set up spectacular guided day tours hosted by their own tour guides. Whatever the need, the Guildwood crew is up to the task.
For travellers looking for help in planning out their Bali vacation, Guildwood has all the knowledge and resources necessary to put together the adventure of a lifetime. For travellers who just want a lovely place the stay, Guildwood will meet that need as well.
At Guildwood, guests can be as private or as social as they would like. The only hope is that they will leave Bali with many fond memories of experiences shared with new friends.
GUILDWOOD VILLA is the home of Ibu Nana, a native Indonesian. Together with her Canadian stepson, Desmond, Nana established Guildwood Villa as a guest accommodation in 2019.
Nana has spent her entire working life as an entrepreneur in the hospitality sector. She began her career as the founder of a successful catering business, and later landed a post with IndoExcursions – an international tour operator – where she served as its Indonesian consultant for several years.
In 2008, Ibu Nana purchased an opulent mansion in her hometown of Jakarta, and, for 10 years, operated the most elegant (and most successful) Guest House in the City. In 2019, in the midst of the Corona crisis, Ibu Nana relocated to Bali and duplicated her success with the establishment Guildwood Villa in Sanur – a guest house with all the elegance of its Jakarta predecessor.
But the success of Guildwood Villa is not based solely on the beauty of the guest house ; it is also based on ‘Ibu Nana’ herself.
Nana is a wonderfully social woman who genuinely enjoys entertaining foreign guests. This is immediately apparent from the moment she picks up her guests at the Airport or greets them on the front steps of Guildwood Villa. And, once her guests have settled in, she is always available to join them for a game of golf in the afternoon or take them out for a night on the town in the evening.
It is almost ironic that, in this opulent Guest House, travellers find a truly social setting where they can interact as freely and as casually as they would in the humblest of homestays.
For those with a desire to “connect with others” and have an “authentic experience,” a stay with Ibu Nana at Guildwood Villa is an obvious choice.
Guildwood Villa is ideally situated in the quiet seaside town of Sanur.
Just 350 metres from the beach, Guildwood Villa is tucked away on a quiet residential street, far from the noise of cars and motorbikes. Sanur’s main street - Jalan Tamblingan – stretches the length of the beach and is lined with endless shops, restaurants, and cafés offering acoustic music in the evenings.
Sanur is within easy commuting distance of other southern Bali towns – namely Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta and Legian - all known for their clubs and nightlife. So, if guests are occasionally in the mood for some noise and spectacle, this is available to them as well.
