Dear guest, My name is Lisette, living in the Netherlands and I am the owner of villa Betèn Bukit in Pemuteran. I found this lovely spot in 2006; the first time I did visit Pemuteran. My purpose that time was to write my thesis in a quite environment, distracted from everything. I was stroked that time by experiencing the poorness of the people. No clean drinking water, no electricity and hardly any medical care. Clean drinking water is a human right, so we decided to start a foundation, collect money for the village and we build at the end 6 waterpumps, so everyone has access now to clean drinking water. The aim of the foundation is to give something back to Pemuteran, to make a contribution to restoring and protecting the natural environment by supporting local healthcare and education projects .With our foundation we did many nice projects in the village and for that reason I travelled quite often to Pemuteran. A good reason to build a house for my own. My beautiful villa is built in 2007 by a local contractor. The staff in the villa joined me in 2007 and is still there to serve and take care of you.
