This place invites presence, not performance. You won’t find a reception desk—but you will find Adi, Nysa's warm-hearted operations manager who lives nearby and is available should anything arise. Other staff members may pass through from time to time, but always with care and intention. You are invited, not managed.
Nature brings remoteness but arriving remains simple. The road is car-friendly, even if it looks narrow at first. For peace of mind, we can always arrange a trusted local driver — just let us know ahead so we can plan well.

Welcome to Nysa – your forest sanctuary.
Nestled within Bali’s largest remaining primeval rainforest, one of our 7 eco-luxury glamping tents awaits – where raw jungle beauty meets quiet design. With our on-site kitchen serving fresh, vibrant meals daily, you can fully relax into nature — no planning or grocery shopping, just nourishment. We’ve poured all ou
Perched at 850 meters in the Balinese mountains of Jatiluwih, your temporary home at Nysa rests on 4,300 m² of precious land. Named after the mythical forest where the god Dionysus was raised in secret to become all he was meant to be, Nysa is a sanctuary for rebirth - raw, radiant, and regenerative. You’ll stay in one of seven eco-luxury glamping tents, cradled between jungle canopies and ancient springs. Just ten minutes from the UNESCO rice terraces — yet worlds away.
This land is alive. Mist drifts through the valley at dawn. Birdsong replaces alarms. Monkeys and frogs remind you: you are part of something wilder. Our shared open-air bathrooms—crafted from bamboo, teak, and stone—invite you to shower beneath the sky.
The community living room, anchored by a long dining table, welcomes shared meals of fresh, daily-prepared food and inspired moments from our small library. The river calls you to meditate, do yoga, or simply watch the water flow.
We live lightly on this land. Every drop you use is harvested rainwater. Every structure is built with the lowest possible footprint—minimal concrete, no sealing of the Earth. Light is soft.
Internet, if you choose to connect, flows through Starlink—the fastest on the mountain.
Our permaculture garden grows what the jungle allows: avocado, durian, banana, papaya, pineapple, herbs, and greens. And in the cool mountain air, you may feel what many forget: nature doesn’t entertain. It restores. Bring warm, cozy clothes.
This is not a resort. It is a return—to Earth, to essence, to what truly matters.
We welcome you with reverence, and ask that you come with the same.

READ BEFORE YOU BOOK:
This is NOT a resort. It’s an invitation to live a little wilder and a little more awake. Expect stairs to move up and down our mountainous terrain, jungle sounds at night, and sudden shifts in weather. We’re nestled in the mountains—cooler than the south, with crisp air and no AC or fans needed but warm clothes at night. Floor beds support natural posture, but may feel unfamiliar at first. Mosquitoes exist, though each tent is fully netted. There is no car parking—please arrive with a driver or by motorbike.
All our water is harvested from rain, and electricity is used mindfully. We ask the same of you. Our shared spaces are held in care. This is a space for quietude, not loud music or parties. The river can be slippery—enter barefoot and with intention.

Your private tent is a Nordisk cotton glamping tent—crafted by Danish sustainability leaders—designed to open fully on all four sides, screened with mosquito netting to let nature in, and closable for privacy and warmth. It’s called NANGKA — Indonesian for “jackfruit,” the largest fruit on the planet — and it offers breathtaking mountain views.
The tent is equipped with a king size or two single floor beds that support natural posture alignment. Organic linen bedding and ergonomic pillows by Heveya ensure a rare luxury in the tropics: sleeping under a proper blanket, without AC, wrapped in mountain air.
A bamboo platform extends beyond the tent, forming your own terrace to meditate, write, or greet the morning light. Inside, you’ll find two foldable floor chairs with tables, two cork yoga mats, two meditation cushions, soft ambient lighting, and a dresser for your belongings. A lockable drawer keeps your valuables safe. A towel rack keeps things dry. There’s a power outlet to charge your devices, and two refillable bottles with our delicious filtered rain water are provided for you.
This is a curated threshold between the wild and the essential—quiet, intentional, and fully yours.
