We are a Swiss-Indonesian Family. Happy to give you the opportunity to enjoy your holiday in our house and you can get a impression of the beautiful tropical nature, experience the interesting culture of Indonesia and meet the friendly community of Bukit Lawang.
Bukit Lawang is a small tourist village on the bank of Bahorok River in North Sumatra province of Indonesia, on the edge of the Gunung Leuser National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage. Home to numerous birds, plants and mammal species, most famously the Sumatran orangutan (Pongo abelii), which can be seen in the jungle in Bukit Lawang.
The village offers a relaxed atmosphere and a lot of interesting activities: Treks and excursions into the jungle with unique flora and fauna, swimming and tubing (tube rafting) on one of the two very different rivers Sungai Bohorok and Sungai Landak or on foot, by bike or comfortably by becak (motorcycle rickshaw) on a discovery tour of local life, culture and culinary highlights. A stay in Bukit Lawang also offers sociale gathering in one of the many restaurants, as well as live music, quiz night or movie night.
Our Villa di Bukit Lawang is located slightly above the tourist center in the village of Bukit Lawang. Experience the real Indonesia. Get in touch with the new culture and the friendly people. Many small local shops and warungs (small restaurants) can be found in the close vicinity.
