You may see the owner from time to time, but generally the villa is managed by wonderful Balinese staff.

Villa Merdu has 2 areas for rental:
(1) Jungle Villa, which is a honeymoon style suite with plunge pool and private access via card reader security. Total size is 100sq/m. This villa is a separate free standing villa away from the main villa.
(2) Main Villa, has 3 bedrooms, with large outdoor pool, overlooking a jungle style valley. Essentially we have set the villa up as a home stay. For rental are: 2 x Superior King (60sq/m), and 1 x Master Suite (78 sq/m which inc. it's own kitchenette with small fridge & sink ).
If renting any of these 3 rooms in the main villa, you have full use of the villa, main kitchen, living areas, pool etc. Also, each room in the main villa has a desk; a water dispenser with clean water; smart TV; walk in robe; shower & bath, A/C; ceiling fans. *NB: this is a 'shared villa'.

Junjungan Village is a well known village of Ubud.....proud of their ceremonies, tradition and they host weekly Kecak dancing at the village temple (on Monday nights).
This is a quiet, peaceful village, with lush surrounds & cooler temperatures than downtown Ubud.
The villa itself is on the north side of Ubud, approx 4.5km from the main road - Jalan Ray Ubud. We are on road named - Jalan Tirta Tawar. We do suggest renting a scooter, but there are local drivers that can transfer you into Ubud if/when you need.
For reference the villa is aprrox 5km from the Palace (corner of Monkey Forest Rd & Jalan Suweta), and 7km from the Monkey Forest Sanctuary.
