Balangan Beach – A Hidden Gem in Bali
Please note that the shortcut from Balangan to the Uluwatu/Bingin area is closed between 11 PM - 5 AM.
This is clearly indicated at the barrier gate, as the road is not a main road but part of a residential area. However, you may still use the main Uluwatu street at any time.
Nestled on Bali’s southwestern Bukit Peninsula, Balangan Beach is a paradise for surfers and travelers seeking a tranquil escape. Famous for its stunning golden sands, dramatic limestone cliffs, and world-class surf breaks, Balangan offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and laid-back vibes.
This charming district is home to cozy beach bars, authentic local warungs, and breathtaking sunset views over the Indian Ocean. While it maintains a relaxed, untouched feel, Balangan is just a short drive from Bingin, Uluwatu, and lively hotspots like Jimbaran and Pecatu. Whether you’re here to ride the waves, soak up the sun, or enjoy fresh seafood by the beach, Balangan Beach is a must-visit destination for those looking to experience Bali’s coastal magic.
