We have a welcome basket in your room with information on things to do and places to see in our are as well as maps, guidebooks and as well as recommendations for places to eat, taxis and things to see and do in the area.
The house is situated on its own private enclosed grounds which provide ample parking, safe playground for children and secluded area to relax and sunbathe or enjoy an open air picnic and view the scenic countryside.The interiors are finished in natural wood which creates a warm welcoming atmosphere. It is located 2km from the village of Ballylickey, on the Wild Atlantic Way and is nestling on the edge of beautiful Bantry Bay and close to Glengarriff, and Gougane Barra.
We are Marie & Patrick and we have lived with our family in Ballylickey for the past 22 years. We are very interested in meeting people from all over the world and helping you to see and enjoy our area in south west Ireland. Our home is in the countryside with a large colourful garden and we are just off the Wild Atlantic Way.
We like to travel and hence have a good idea of what is required of hosts. We will be available as much as you wish to you during your stay with us. We will respect your need for quiet time.
Marie - I like gardening, travelling and entertaining while Patrick is an avid DIY enthusiast and keen reader. The children play sport, music and swim in the sea. I , Marie , have worked in the tourist office for two years helping visitors to book accommodation and plan trips and activities. I bring this experience to my new role as a host.

Nightly dancing, traditional music and lively ballad sessions in pubs and hotels in Ballylickey, Bantry and Glengarriff.
Bantry House. 18th century historic Bantry House with its formal gardens. Musical concerts are held in the library throughout the year. The Bantry French Armada Exhibition Centre is located in the grounds.
