The Coachman's Loft is located in the original Coach House of Rockfield House Estate which was built in the 1740's. To enter this studio style apartment you go up the original stone steps. the apartment sleeps 5, superking, and three singles and has a kitchenette and showerroom. In keeping with it's history we have left stone walls exposed and horse themed the decor. The apartment is a really relaxing and restful space ideal for anyone wishing to enjoy a good nights sleep and walks in the extensive walled garden and Rockfield House grounds. There's also giant chess, badminton and football onsite
I am an Occupational Therapist and at Rockfield we provide therapeutic experiences for children who have experienced trauma and young people with learning disabilities including overnight camps during the summer. Hosting is to pay the bills so that we can run therapeutic side of things!
Kells town and it's monastic site, St. Ciaran's Well with it's ancient cures and Lough Crew Megalithic site are favourites of mine as is the 5km Girley Bog looped walk but I also recommend Bingo Loco and dinner in Jacks on a Friday night or dinner in The Headfort Arms Hotel is also reliably good and the late night live music is great too
