Just 15 minutes from Donegal airport, which has daily return flights to Dublin and Scotland, Burtonport village has a shop and filling station, 2 pubs, a post office and a Welcome Centre where you can buy local crafts. Burtonport harbour also has a very efficient ferry service which provides regular crossings to and from Arranmore Island.
Burtonport is surrounded by a number of small Islands with Arranmore Island slightly further out to sea. The port offers an incomparable wealth of scenery and wonderful walking terrain with an abundance of islands, beaches, lakes, rivers and mountains. Numerous unspoilt beaches are within walking distance of the property (approx 20-25 min). These beaches can also be accessed by car. The route of Slí na Rosann, a 65km circular route covering much of the Rosses area passes through Burtonport. For the more adventurous, Mount Errigal - the highest mountain in Donegal - is just a short drive away.

The Harbour apartments, of which there are five individual units, are finished to an extremely high standard offering guests exceptional comfort and privacy during their stay. All five units are fully furnished and have their own dining and seating areas with a flat-screen TV. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine/tumble dryer, oven, fridge, microwave and kettle. Free private parking is also provided at the apartments.

Burtonport is well established as an angling paradise and offers a variety of sea angling and fly fishing to the angler whatever his/her level of experience. Charter boats are available for booking from the harbour for a few hours sea angling. With over 130 lakes, the area is renowned for both lake and river fishing. Charter vessels are also available for sightseeing trips which can include dolphin, seal and bird watching.
Kayaking has also become very popular from the fishing village, a variety of kayak trips are available on the sea around the necklace of small islands which surround the port, where paddlers get to venture around inlets, exploring caves and often get to encounter dolphins.
Dungloe town is just 5km away from Burtonport and it has numerous pubs, restaurants, a newly refurbished Waterfront hotel and supermarkets (Super Valu, The Cope, Lidl and Aldi). Cruit Island is 4km away and it boasts a 9 hole links golf course. Kincasslagh village, home of country singer Daniel O' Donnell is also just 4 km away.
