Riverside Cabin is a hiker’s paradise, offers a unique eco- glamping experience and is very cosy. The longest walk in Ireland passes our door called “ The Beara Breifne Way”, it follows the river as seen in the pictures.
This is a one bedroom space with a kitchenette and on suite bathroom. It’s equipped with shower, luxurious double bed, a kitchenette and waterless (Dry) toilet.

It has decking area for outdoor relaxing with fire pit and bbq.
The tap water is safe to drink.
Free parking is available. Up to 2 cars.
There is heating available if needed.
No WIFI and Poor signal for phone coverage. You are off grid!! :)
Please be aware this is an active farming community and agricultural processes may be taking place during your stay. IE Dairy and beef cattle roam the neighboring fields, silage cutting, baling, and slurry spreading etc.
Galbally is our local village and is only a mile from the cabin. It has a local shop with a deli counter, coffee shop and a fast food take away, and some bars. Nearest towns Tipperary and Mitchelstown are both about 20min.
We have many attractions and activities like; hiking, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, golf and mountain biking.
The entrance laneway from the Mooreabbey is quite narrow and single traffic is required. There are other families living in the laneway and there may also be people walking ,so please drive slowly and use the lay-bys when required.
While we want to make you feel welcome we do not disturb our guests or have interaction unless instigated by you and unless you require help or assistance with something. We like to respect your privacy.
The riverside cabin is situated in the heart of the Glen of Aherlow and is also part of the Ballyhoura Country, famous for it’s fabulous hiking trails, mountain biking and organic food producers.
A car is the quickest and most convenient means of getting about in this rural setting. There is some public transport from the nearest village Galbally only a 10min walk away. Check timetable with Bus Eireann.
The nearest airports are Shannon and Cork, both an hours drive Dublin airport is approx two and a half hours drive.
Limerick Junction is the nearest train station and gives quite a good access to the rest of the country,many buses depart from here also. It is 30min drive from the cabin. Taxies are available also but you will have to book it, details can be found online. There are great hiking and cycling routes in the area.
You will have free private parking at the cabin, enough space for two cars.
