Wytchwood B&B sits in a uniquely quiet and peaceful cul-de-sac in the centre of Clonakilty town, famed for its food, music, history and culture. Enjoy your stay in one of our comfortable newly-renovated en-suite rooms, with home-cooked Irish breakfast options in the morning. A short walk from everything that Clonakilty has to experience, and close by car to all that West Cork offers, Wytchwood is the ideal base for your next trip!
Catherine took over Wytchwood B&B in 2024, having previously run a B&B in Clonakilty in the 1990s. A native of Rosscarbery, she has been living in Clonakilty and knows the area like the back of her hand.
Clonakilty, or “Clon” as the locals call it, is a beautifully vibrant small town on the coast of West Cork surrounded by beaches and areas of historic and natural significance. It has a well-earned reputation as a centre for high-quality food production, being the home of the world-reknowned Clonakilty Blackpudding as well as much loved brands like Irish Yoghurts, Shannonvale Foods, Clona Dairies and much more which serve its many restaurants. The locals have a strong sense of community and if you’re visiting during the summer, you’ll likely come across one of the many cultural events held here like Clonakilty Agricultural Show, the Old Time Fair, Clonakilty Street Carnival, South of Ireland Band Championships or the Clonakilty Guitar Festival.
