Great Comfortable House in the Heart of Reykjavik This wonderful house is in a quiet residential area in the old west side of Reykjavik. The house is 186 m2 and is warm and inviting. It is suitable for families or larger groups. Fully equipped large kitchen with: dishwasher, microwave, gas stoves, blender, juicer, spices, oil etc. and a great espresso machine. From the kitchen there is a door leading to the porch and out to the garden where you can sit with your coffee. The dining room is bright and spacious and seats 6-10 people. A large corner leather sofa is in the living room where the TV is.

I love to travel and have come to realise that it is the coming home, which makes traveling the world so rewarding; the knowledge that wherever we are, a warm, friendly and familiar welcome awaits us on our return home. Many faraway places we have visited have successfully recreated this feeling, greatly enriching our vacation. On the occasions this has happened, we have longed to stay rather than return home, the essence we believe of a successful holiday. With this in mind we have created a traditionally Icelandic experience for those who wish to augment their visit to our beautiful country with a authentic, relaxing and ultimately rewarding stay in one of our portfolio of 'Icelandic Homestays', which we believe combine the best of being abroad without being away from home. I am also a liceneced guide, so I not only travel abroad but also a lot with in the wonderful landscape that Iceland has to offer. I love sleeping by a small river in a tent with my family. My job is publishing my fathers landscape books, books such as Iceland Small World, Planet Iceland and more. This I do with my brother and we run Portfolio Publishing together.

The ocean front and the old harbour are only a stone´s throw away; an area which offers many services such as Whale Watching, stores, bars and restaurants including the famous "hamburger joint" Búllan and one of Reykjavík´s best ice cream shop, Valdís. Also just around the corner is a 24 hours store and a pharmacy. In close vicinity there are three major supermarkets. A car rental is within a walking distance also a yoga studio and gym. Other attractions in the neighbourhood include The Whale museum, Reykjavík Maritime Museum, The Saga Museum, The Auora Museum, Reykjavík Museum of Photography, Reykjavik Art Museum, a few galleries and The City Library Three grocery shops are with in walking distance. Shops, coffee houses, restaurants are all in short walking distance from the apartment. The famous"hamburger joint" Búllan, is only 5 minutes a way. You are only 5 minuets to walk to the center or the ocean site.
