The Verna family are farmers and breeders and have been processing their cow’s milk since 1990,producing excellent quality specialty cheeses. The cows are milked the night before or at dawn end and then the milk goes directly in the dairy, to become mozzarella, cheese and fresh milk cheese and ricotta exclusively handmade. The handmade Guardiese mozzarella and other cheeses have received numerous awards over the years, with the first prize in "The cheeses of Buongusto" Gessopalena the second prize in the national "Golden Grolle-Formaggi d ' autore ".
We breed about 85 brown Italian cows; our breed is renowned and offers the best milk, rich in protein, with exceptional aromas and flavours. Reared freely, a method that improves their quality of life, our animals can move freely in the barn, even choosing the place in where to give birth.
In the Verna family, not only do we produce cheeses, we also cultivate the land in a natural way, using manure as fertilizer, following the rotation of crops, cultivating only seasonal products.
We also cultivate many varieties of forgotten fruits, just like those that were present in the old farmhouses and now unfortunately are disappearing

This medieval town with origins dating back to the seventh century, has been famous for its handicraft production of gold, iron and copper since 1400. Every year in August the locals still continue to exibit thier products at the Artistic Abruzzese Festival, now an important historical, artistic and natural centre. Be sure to visit other sites such as the Santa Maria Maggiore Gothic cathedral and Cathedral Museum, St. Nicholas Greek Church, St. Nicholas of Bari Church, the Lombard Tower and Costume and Traditions Museum. The Agriturism Colle Tripio is located in the hamlet of Villa San Vincenzo in the district of Guardiagrele, in the province of Chieti, and just 20 km from Trabocchi coast, 25 km from the Passolanciano-Majelletta ski slopes. By car you can visit the nearby town of Lanciano, where many faithfully devoted visitors go every year to visit the Eucharistic miracle that took place in the seventh century. In this period, it is thought that a Basilian monaco turned the holy host into flesh and the wine into blood, all of which are still preserved in church
