The B&B Palazzo a Merse is a 'borgo' that was once the farm of the peasants who worked in the mill next door. Today the village has been carefully restored respecting the history, traditions and culture. Each bedroom is different from the others with private bathroom, some with shower and one with bath.
We are two sisters, Federica and Margherita, with their husbands, Andreax2, and together we have been managing the B & B and the Palazzo di Merse apartments since 1998. Andrea is a bike guide and will advise you about the best tours to do even starting directly from our facility.
The B&B Palazzo a Merse is only 10 km far from Siena in the municipality of Sovicille that, together with Chiusdino, Monticiano and Murlo, form the Merse,Valley where stands the magnificent cathedral in the open air of St. Galgano and its legend of the Sword in the Stone. About 2 km far from us there is Orgia where you could find a nice restaurant, “Cateni”; at 3 km far, in Stigliano, there is another restaurant “La Bottega di Stigliano”. At 5km far from us in Rosia you will find the restaurant “Le Logge” and all the necessary services: Supermarket, Pharmacy, Bank, Petrol, Bus.
