A Slow holiday in Sardinia! Once here, you’ll never want to leave. The house, from the middle of the last century, is located in a unique and very quiet hamlet surrounded by greenery just 30 minutes from Cagliari and a few kilometers from the Parco dei Sette Fratelli - halfway between the fantastic beaches of Costa Rei, Villasimius and Poetto. Founded by the Cagliari bourgeoisie at the end of the 19th century as a holiday resort, the small hamlet of San Gregorio has villas and gardens of remarkable beauty and perfectly preserved. It is a place of great peace and silence, completely immersed in nature. A few hundred meters from the village, the winding road called Campu Omu (the old Eastern Sardinian, SS125, which connected north and south of Sardinia), winds through breathtaking views to the coast. In the village there is a tiny church that opens only one day a year, on the occasion of the patron's feast.

I was born and lived in Milan until 2005, when I moved to Sardinia. I lived in the north of the island for 16 years, in the wonderful and wild Gallura - isolated in the countryside but a few kilometers from jaw-dropping beaches. then I decided that I wanted to go further south and get closer to a city ... This is how I discovered, by chance, the magnificent hamlet of San Gregorio . It was June and it was love at first sight !!! I loved this place from the very first moment - for its peace, the greenery around, the unspoiled nature, its beautiful houses, the proximity to the sea and the convenience of a city, Cagliari, nearby. I like the tranquility here, the mild climate in winter, the strong light and the sun. I like to take walks by the sea or along the paths of the Parco dei Sette Fratelli, or in Molentargius for flamingos watching. I like to climb the Sella del Diavolo, to go to the San Benedetto market, to stroll through the historic quarters of Cagliari, to visit the Conti Vecchi Salt works. I like sunbathing on the warm sand in spring. I like reading a book in my backyard surrounded by silence. I like having guests because Paradise must be shared!

The hamlet is very quiet and surrounded by green. You can hike or bike along the sevaral paths of Parco dei Sette Fratelli and Monte Cresia, visit Is Concias Giants' Tomb, swim/dive/sail/windsurfing in the nearby beaches (Solanas, Geremeas, Poetto, Costa Rei, Villasimius, ecc) or in the Is Cannas River. You can visit Cagliari, the Conti Vecchi Salt Works, the Pinuccio Sciola's Giardino Sonoro. You can have dinner or aperitif by the sea, walk at Sella del Diavolo for the sunset. You can listen to the bellowing deer during mating season! It's the perfect place for nature enthusiasts :-)
