Camogli is a super charming fishing village on the Ligurian Riviera, tucked behind the Portofino Promontory, which keeps the weather nice and mild all year. The town’s got a lovely pedestrian boardwalk lined with colorful, tall houses, packed with cool restaurants, cozy cafés, and unique little shops. It leads down to the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and ends at a bustling harbor full of fishing boats and tourist ferries.
From the harbor, you can hop on a boat to check out spots like Punta Chiappa, San Fruttuoso, or even take a day trip to the stunning Cinque Terre. Don’t miss the Castello della Dragonara, a 13th-century fortress right by the sea with a neat museum inside.
Camogli’s also a great starting point for hiking trails into the Portofino Park. From the parking lot, a path climbs up to San Rocco di Camogli, where you can keep going to places like Portofino Vetta, Pietre Strette, or back to San Fruttuoso and Punta Chiappa. Getting around is a breeze with trains, buses, and boats connecting the area.
