Tra i punti di interesse storico segnaliamo il centro Storico di Leonessa che conserva un'atmosfera medievale grazie alle chiese e agli edifici storici (La Chiesa di San Francesco e la Collegiata di San Pietro, La Torre Angioina da dove poter vedere dall’alto tutta Leonessa).
Nei dintorni di Leonessa si trovano numerosi frazioni e borghi medievali, che conservano tutt’ora il loro fascino storico.
Per gli amanti della Natura consigliamo di visitare i vicini: Monte Terminillo, Le gole del fiume Velino, la Riserva Naturale dei Laghi Lungo e Ripasottile.
Oltretutto la zona di Leonessa è ricca di sentieri escursionistici che attraversano boschi, montagne e valli. È possibile fare escursioni a piedi, in mountain bike o a cavallo.
