La Piazzetta is a small, independent accommodation, located in the farmyard in front of the farmhouse. It is composed by: living kitchen, bedroom and bathroom . The adjoining terrace , equipped with table, chairs and sun loungers, allows you to enjoy the beautiful views of the valley below and enjoy a scenic relaxation. Under the loggia of the main house, there is also the characteristic wood oven, of considerable size, that the peasants used to cook bread for the whole week, also made with the vault in stone. Even today it is perfectly functional, and the roasts cooked inside it have a different flavor from traditional cooking. For guests who wish we can prepare dinners by reservation. The hill on which the house stands, is called "Il sodo", this because the ground on which it was erected, consists of fragmented stones and compressed in such a way, to make it very hard, to the point that the house did not need foundation for its realization. Inside the house there is a cellar, dug into the "hard", which goes down and emerges from the hill below the apartment. Here you can admire the particularity of the terrain conformation.

You can easily reach Monteriggioni, Siena, Montalcino along the ancient Via Cassia, built by the ancient Romans, the ribbon of asphalt that follows the gentle rolling of our hills, revealing each time, breathtaking landscapes. Certaldo, Giovanni Boccaccio's birthplace, is a 10-minute drive away. The old part of the town, perched on a small hill, has the peculiarity of being built in red brick, and still retains all its charm. From Certaldo in 15 minutes by car you can reach San Gimignano, with its characteristic towers, then you can go up to Volterra, famous for alabaster, where, in summer, the hills become golden, thanks to the cultivations of barley and wheat. From there, in a moment you get to the sea, in the coastal area of Livorno. Every summer, in the town square, a stone's throw from the house, a pizzeria is opened, and the pro loco organizes musical events. I recommend buying the bread (typical Tuscan without salt) and the crushed local oven, which are really good. For those who love golf, you can not miss a visit to Castelfalfi, an ancient village located in the area of Montaione.
