Scandicci is a lively suburb with a wide choice of shops, restaurants, pizzerias, pasticcerias, supermarkets, weekly street markets as well as theatre and cinema. There are also many restaurants in the nearby surrounding hills where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the Tuscan landscape. Discover the medieval hamlets and their ancient churches such as the Pieve di Sant'Alessandro a Giogoli and the parish church at San Martino alla Palma. Just 600 metres away, there is the beautiful Castello dell'Acciaiolo, The castle is surrounded by a beautiful park open to the public which is a place to go for various cultural initiatives and shows during the summer.
