Take a stroll through the orange and prickly pear trees in the garden or enjoy an aperitif on the terrace while watching one of the spectacular sunsets we get all year round. We are on one of the highest spots in Lipari which means that we get spectacular views, lovely breezes and wonderful peace and seclusion but it also means that we are a 15-minute drive from the town. The nearest beach is less than a 10-minute drive away.

Lipari, the Aeolian islands and surrounding areas The Aeolian islands, named after Aeolus, god of the winds, are a volcanic archipelago along Sicily's eastern Tyrrhenian coast. The principal islands are Lipari, Salina, Filicudi, Alicudi, Stromboli, Panarea and Vulcano. You'll find beautiful scenery, volcanoes, castles, thermal resorts, water sports, good fishing and, of course, some great beaches. High/low season. Do expect more crowds in summer months, and seasonal schedules for transport, shops, accommodation and restaurants (some of which may be closed in winter). In particular, it is a good idea to check the ferry and bus times for the time of year when you are staying as these change – timetables are available from the ferry dock in Lipari town and the “Urso” bus stop on the roundabout by the ferry dock, respectively. Geography and history. The islands are beautiful and very rugged, with deep caverns, steep cliffs, beautifully clear water and splendid views. The volcanoes on Stromboli and Vulcano erupt fairly frequently; Filicudi, Alicudi and Salina are without volcanic activity in historical memory.
